New Research proves that we have a destructive little gene that is woven in to the fabric of our being, it controls us on a sub-conscious level and until we acknowledge it and understand it, we will never conquer it.
“In my 35 years of practicing and working with the marvel of the human brain, I have never observed an inherited genetic influence more profound than the impact of the Hoarding Gene. Its power is astounding, affecting millions of people. I encourage you to identify how this gene may be controlling your life.†Gary H. Rusk, M.D. Psychiatrist and Founder, The Rusk Center New York City, New York.
So what is the hoarding gene anyway? In simple terms, it is the underlying cause of disorganization. Further, it is a hard-wired genetically transmitted acquisitive instinct, traced back to early human evolution, when people hoarded food out of fear of not having enough. More prevalent during our immigration period, when people held onto possessions as a positive attachment to all they had. Fear and anxiety increased at the thought of losing these possessions. The Great Depression: How this transmitted instinct impacted our society then — holding onto possessions rather than selling, out of fear of losing all they had and not being able to replace them.
Joe Cirillo offers keys to unlocking this barrier to organization in his seminar and his series of organizational books – Time For Life & It’s Your Time. (link to Coming Soon and buy now, respectively)
“The genetic connection to our past is known mostly by the medical community and unknown to the mainstream until recently. I urge you to take advantage of this new knowledge, a mechanism that has had a controlling influence on us for centuries. If possessions have been a contributing factor to weighting you down and holding you back from having an easier life, (being organized) then take action. Start by saying, “Enough is Enough!†When there is a place for everything and everything is in its place, there is no better comfort and secure feeling in the world. Travel light through life. And your life will move forward with ease and comfort at home and work.†Joe Cirillo
