Organize Home
Home is Where the Heart is.
It’s true; home is where the heart is, and the clutter. When you are feeling those spring time blues, consider the option that will clear your mind and leave more time for your heart – organize that home. We tend to collect things in life, but Joe Cirillo, author of It’s Your Time, suggests that if we were to take the time to dig through our mementos we might find that more than a little is built up and ignored clutter. And, according to Cirillo, clutter is a major cause of stress in American lifestyle.
Cirillo suggests that if America were to organize their homes, we just might be a happier nation, and, he says, we would have more time for the things that are closest to our hearts – like family.
In an interview with Nicole Keeter of Oprah’s O Magazine, Cirillo says: “The first step in managing your time is to organize the home. Your day begins and ends in the bedroom, and the first thing you want to see is a nice, clean, orderly environment. And then your day is a series of segments, so if you clear the clutter as you go along, you clear the mind and organize the home.
“It’s a matter of determining which tasks you can complete. It becomes a process of elimination. That’s difficult, but the key is realizing that we each have a certain capacity. We need to identify things on our agendas that we don’t really need to do.â€
So if you are ready to make more time for the heart, Cirillo says Organize your home and get ready to enjoy more time and less stress, after all, home is where the heart is.
Joe Cirillo’s book, It’s Your Time has been featured in Oprah’s O Magazine among other national publications.
